Well this is some exciting news - the Nielson HomeScan Panel is accepting applications for new members!
What is this, you ask? One word -FRIGGINAWESOME. Basically, they send you a scanner. You quickly scan the barcodes of your normal grocery shopping purchases and send them in periodically. They do whatever fancypants data analysis and you earn points. You cash your points in for TONS of goodies!
I myself have applied. My mom has been doing this for years and is always scoring awesome stuff - I have her and Homescan to thank for my George Forman!
